Starting from November 28, 2024, master’s students from the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications at UTM will have the opportunity to explore the latest technologies in cybersecurity through the innovative course “Cloud and Grid Systems Security,” launched by the CYBERCOR Institute for Cybersecurity Innovation.
The course is led by two notable experts: Dr. Dinu Țurcanu, Vice-Rector for Digitalization at UTM, known for his active involvement in the digitalization of university processes, and Ludmila Peca, Director of the National Institute of Innovations in Cybersecurity “Cybercor,” a CISCO instructor with extensive practical experience.
Together, they will guide students through an intensive program designed to reveal the secrets of IT security, with a focus on cloud and grid solutions.
A highlight of the course will be the presence of Mihai-George Forlafu, Security Cloud Solution Architect at Microsoft and a globally recognized expert in cloud system security. His visit to UTM was made possible by an invitation from Vice-Rector Dinu Țurcanu. Over the course of 10 interactive lessons, Mihai-George Forlafu will teach students about the Microsoft Security Suite, offering them a unique opportunity to learn directly from an expert with extensive global experience.
Through this course, UTM students will have a unique chance to interact directly with an international expert, learning from his practical experience in implementing and managing security solutions for top organizations. The course is designed to be flexible and accessible, with lessons offered in a hybrid format—both in-person in the modern classrooms at CYBERCOR and online via Microsoft Teams.
For students attending in person, the lessons will be broadcast live, providing them with an interactive experience regardless of location.
The course aims to provide answers and solutions to the most pressing questions in the field of cloud and grid systems security:
- How do you protect data in cloud infrastructures?
- What solutions does the Microsoft Security Suite offer for organizations?
- How can the latest cybersecurity technologies be implemented in practice?
