The Technical University of Moldova, in collaboration with the Development Foundation of the Republic of Moldova and the “Cybercor” National Institute of Innovations in Cyber Security, is launching a competition offering vouchers for successfully completed international cybersecurity certification exams at the Pearson VUE Testing Center at UTM. This innovative and highly valuable project aims to ignite interest and enhance the skills of cybersecurity professionals across both the public and private sectors in Moldova.
Supported by the Development Foundation of Moldova, through a grant from the Tides Foundation for the “Cybercor” National Institute of Innovations in Cyber Security, 50 vouchers worth up to $400 each are available for successfully passing any international cybersecurity certification exam at the Pearson VUE Testing Center at UTM, excluding exams offered by Huawei and ZTE.
This competition aims to foster a sustainable cybersecurity culture in Moldova by:
- enhancing professional skills in cybersecurity;
- encouraging international cybersecurity certification;
- strengthening national cybersecurity resilience.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to all employees in the public and private sectors of entities registered in the Republic of Moldova who hold Moldovan citizenship. Participants must have taken or plan to take an international cybersecurity certification exam at the Pearson VUE Testing Center, UTM, between February 9, 2024, and November 1, 2024. The exam must be internationally recognized, excluding those offered by Huawei and ZTE.
Competition Timeline
The competition will run from July 1, 2024, to November 1, 2024, and includes the following stages:
- July 1, 2024 – October 25, 2024: Registration and submission of documents.
- November 1, 2024: Announcement of winners and distribution of vouchers.
How to Register?
To participate, you must send a completed participation form along with the following documents to [email protected] between July 1, 2024, and October 25, 2024:
- a copy of your ID card;
- the completed participation form;
- a copy of the certificate (including the score) of completion of an international cybersecurity certification exam at the Pearson VUE Testing Center, UTM, excluding Huawei and ZTE;
- a copy of the payment for the cybersecurity certification exam (excluding Huawei and ZTE) at the Pearson VUE Testing Center, UTM – only payments made by individuals are eligible; payments made by legal entities will not be accepted;
- a copy of your bachelor’s or master’s degree diploma attesting to higher education in information/cybersecurity, information technology, or electronic communications;
- a certificate from your employer confirming at least three years of professional activity in the institution at the time of the certification exam.
Note:
- Applications and documents submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
- The competition is conducted without a participation fee!
Candidates will be evaluated by a committee of representatives from UTM and the Development Foundation of Moldova. Winners will be determined based on the scores from the exam taken at the Pearson VUE Testing Center, UTM. In the case of equal scores, additional selection criteria will be applied.
Participants will be individually informed of the competition results via the email address provided in the participation form.
