“Gender Equality in STEM” Summer School Inspires Youth in Moldova

Yesterday, the UTM Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (FET) inaugurated the “Gender Equality in STEM” Summer School. This notable initiative, organized by FET-UTM in collaboration with UN Women, is part of the “EVOLVE4GE – Accelerating Gender Equality by Empowering Women through Economic Opportunities, Combating Violence, and Gender-Sensitive Governance” project. The project is funded by the European Union and implemented by UN Women Moldova.

The main goal of the Summer School is to raise awareness about the importance of gender equality in engineering and technical fields. This initiative targets high school students aged 15 to 19 and aims to inspire and encourage girls to pursue careers in engineering, while emphasizing the significance of gender equality in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.
