The Technical University of Moldova showcased exceptional performance at the European Exhibition of Creativity and Innovation EUROINVENT-2024. This year, UTM participated with 18 works, including 3 patent applications, 10 invention patents, 3 research projects, and 2 books for the book exhibition, achieving an impressive total of 18 medals: 11 gold, 3 silver, and 4 bronze. Congratulations to the UTM inventors for their extraordinary achievements!
Additionally, UTM received the Romanian Inventors Forum Award, won by Dr. habil., Prof. Viorel BOSTAN, and Dr. Andrei PETCO for their work on the “Impeller of the hydraulic centrifugal pump.” Congratulations to both authors for this notable accomplishment!
Another proud moment for UTM was the selection of Dr. Mihail BALAN as a member of the international jury of the Exhibition, a recognition that highlights the university’s expertise and prestige in the field of research and innovation.
EUROINVENT, the most important European event dedicated to scientific creativity and innovation, celebrated its 16th edition this year. Held from June 6-8, 2024, at the Palace of Culture in Iași, Romania, under the patronage of the Ministry of Research, Innovation, and Digitalization, the event brought together inventors, researchers, and representatives from academia and business from 34 countries, presenting over 650 inventions and projects. EUROINVENT is the only invention exhibition in Romania held under the umbrella of IFIA (the International Federation of Inventors’ Associations, similar to the Geneva Exhibition) and WIIPA.
