The Technical University of Moldova Participated in the International Week at the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu

A delegation from the Technical University of Moldova participated in the seventh edition of the International Week at the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu, Romania. This event brought together faculty members, researchers, Erasmus+ Program coordinators, administrative staff, and members of international relations offices from partner institutions.

The main goal of the event was to promote international cooperation with AFT’s partner institutions, strengthen existing ties, and establish new partnerships with universities abroad. Additionally, the International Week aimed to increase the visibility of the Erasmus+ program and the mobility opportunities it offers.

From June 10-13, 2024, participants engaged in a series of educational, social, and cultural activities designed to facilitate the exchange of experiences and best practices. The agenda featured presentations from the participating universities, discussion sessions, workshops, visits to museums and tourist attractions in Sibiu, as well as various social and cultural events.

The Technical University of Moldova was represented by Associate Professor Dr. Nina Puțuntean, Head of the International Relations Service; Associate Professor Dr. Lilia Sava, Dean of the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications; and Brigadier General Vitalie Stoian, Head of the Military Department. The team contributed to the success of the event by participating in various educational, social, and cultural activities aimed at fostering the exchange of best practices and knowledge among participants.

To disseminate the best practices and experiences gained, Nina Puțuntean delivered a detailed presentation on the Technical University of Moldova, highlighting the institution’s strengths, rich educational offerings, qualified faculty, modern infrastructure, and international research opportunities. She emphasized UTM’s notable achievements and projects, showcasing the university’s potential for international collaboration. Her presentation garnered significant interest from the audience, who appreciated the diversity of study programs offered by UTM and the potential for collaboration in areas of mutual interest.

Participating in the International Week at the “Nicolae Bălcescu” Land Forces Academy in Sibiu was a valuable opportunity for the Technical University of Moldova to enhance its international presence and explore new avenues for academic collaboration. The event provided a conducive environment for the exchange of ideas and experiences.
