At a solemn ceremony attended by distinguished guests, the Technical University of Moldova celebrated the achievements of Olympiad winners and young creators from high schools and colleges across the country, in the presence of their parents and friends.
The celebrated students came from Chișinău, Hâncești, Ialoveni, Nisporeni, Soroca, and Fălești. The winners of the Republican Technical Olympiads excelled in mathematics, physics, chemistry, computer science, and artistic drawing. Additionally, 14 winners of the “Young Creator” competition were recognized for their outstanding achievements in fields such as web applications, electronics, automation, painting, drawing, graphic and multimedia design. In a festive atmosphere, UTM Rector, Professor Viorel Bostan, and the organizing team from the Center of Career Guidance and Counseling (CCOC) – Director Radu Melnic and Deputy Director Natalia Șestenco – presented the winners with their diplomas and awards.
“We are delighted by your success in the competitions UTM organizes each year for young innovators in engineering,” declared Rector Viorel Bostan. “This achievement directly opens the doors for you to study at the Technical University. Should you choose to do so, you will be among the first to be enrolled at UTM.”
According to the regulations, the laureates of the “Young Creator” competition will receive advantages when applying to the Technical University of Moldova. First-place winners (holders of a Baccalaureate diploma or a vocational studies diploma) will be admitted outside the regular competition to the specialty or training field corresponding to their award. Second and third-place winners (holders of a Baccalaureate or vocational studies diploma) will be admitted, upon request, to their chosen program or training field with a 50% discount on the first year’s tuition fee.
