Starting on February 17, 2024, the Technical University of Moldova launched preparatory courses to help high school students excel in their Baccalaureate exams. These courses concluded on June 1 with additional lessons outside the established program, serving as a special gift from UTM in celebration of International Children’s Day.
UTM’s Rector, Professor Viorel Bostan, expressed his pride in the university’s tradition of attracting students from across the country to prepare for these important exams. Mr. Bostan extended his gratitude to the Center for Career Guidance and Counseling and the dedicated professors involved. This year, the students were guided by the renowned teachers Ana Costaș and Ion Jardan in mathematics, Iurie Subotin in chemistry, Mihai Gaidău in computer science, and Iurie Cebotari in artistic drawing. This ongoing success underscores UTM’s commitment to educational excellence and motivates the institution to keep investing in the future generations.
Radu Melnic, Director of the Center for Career Guidance and Counseling, praised the initiative as a significant effort from both UTM and the enthusiastic high school students eager to build a promising professional future. Under his leadership, the annual preparatory courses have become a hallmark of UTM’s dedication to academic support.
Natalia Șestenco, Deputy Director of the Center for Career Guidance and Counseling, congratulated the students on completing the courses and celebrated International Children’s Day with them. She noted the growing interest among high school students in UTM, recognizing it as an institution that fosters a deep appreciation for science, technology, and innovation. Ms. Șestenco wished them the best of luck in their upcoming Baccalaureate exams.
This year, over 450 high school students from various parts of the country seized the unique opportunity provided by UTM to prepare for their exams. The modern lecture halls at UTM’s Râșcani campus and the expertise of the university’s most experienced and beloved teachers were instrumental in making this initiative a success.
