The Technical University of Moldova extends warm congratulations to its top-performing students for the winter session of 2023-2024. Under the leadership of Prof. Viorel BOSTAN, Dr. habil. and UTM Rector, the University fosters an environment where excellence is promoted, continuous learning is encouraged, and students’ academic achievements are actively supported.
Fully committed to cultivating a positive academic culture and providing a space where students can develop their skills, competencies, and performance, Rector Bostan fulfills his mission with full responsibility by creating optimal conditions for student success, preparing them for the challenges and opportunities of the real world.
Believing wholeheartedly in the importance of recognizing and celebrating academic excellence in order to continuously inspire academic growth, UTM, through the order of the UTM Rector, has approved the Rector’s List, which honors the top-scoring students, representing approximately 1% of the university’s total student body, as well as the Deans’ Lists, acknowledging the top achievers from each faculty, comprising roughly 3% of the number of students per faculty.
It is said that “where excellence is recognized, excellence appears” and multiplies. Thus, the Rector’s List includes 92 students, their academic success ranging from 10.00 to 9.45. The Deans’ Lists of the 11 faculties include from 8 to 85 students, who achieved grades between 9.84 and 8.91 during the winter session of 2023-2024.
As the saying goes, “where excellence is recognized, excellence thrives and multiplies.” Thus, the Rector’s List recognizes the outstanding achievements of 92 students, whose academic results ranged from 10.00 to 9.45. The Deans’ Lists of the 11 faculties include students who achieved scores between 9.84 and 8.91 during the winter session of 2023-2024, with the FCIM Dean’s List leading with 85 students, followed by FUA with 32, FIEB with 29, FCGC with 25, FIMIT with 23, FȘASM with 18, FTA with 17, FD with 17, FEIE with 16, FMV with 10, and FET with 8 students in the top 3%.
Success encourages success, therefore, the efforts of diligent young people are recognized, appreciated, and publicly displayed on boards with the respective lists, which are placed in visible spaces in the corridors of study buildings of all 11 faculties of UTM. Thus, this valuable and commendable initiative stimulates students’ interest in studies and encourages academic excellence, promoting cohesion within the university community.
