The Technical-Scientific Conference of Students, Master’s, and PhD Candidates commenced its proceedings on March 27th, marking yet another year of tradition. Dr. Vasile TRONCIU, the Vice-Rector for Research at UTM and moderator of the event, announced that this year’s edition includes 14 working sections with over 700 papers to be presented.
Addressing the conference’s attendees, Prof. Viorel BOSTAN, the Rector of UTM, underscored the importance of their contributions, be it their first step into scientific exploration or a consolidation of their ongoing efforts. Mr. Bostan emphasized the crucial role of researchers in advancing humanity, unlocking the world’s mysteries, and providing the tools to understand and enhance it. The Rector also lauded the role of engineering in translating knowledge into tangible solutions and innovative technologies, quoting Theodore von Kármán to emphasize the transformative potential of engineering endeavors. “UTM’s mission is to contribute to the development of these technologies and knowledge that will define our future. I encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to share ideas, learn from each other, and take important steps towards progress, and may your contributions bring new solutions and perspectives to the field of research!”
Dr. Rodica SIMINIUC, the Director of UTM’s Doctoral School, mentioned that the conference serves as a platform to celebrate the commitment to education and academic excellence. With each participant harboring a unique story of curiosity and perseverance, she encouraged fruitful knowledge exchange among the young attendees.
In this year’s edition of the conference, participants present over 700 papers, addressing major issues of undeniable importance. The papers are presented in Romanian, Russian, English, and French, within 14 working sections of the conference:

- Computers, Informatics, and Microelectronics;

- Social and Human Sciences;
- Foreign Languages.
UTM provides a conducive environment for young people to explore their potential, develop their skills, and contribute to tackling current and future challenges, including within the present conference. Thus, this year’s edition symbolizes the institutional dedication to promoting excellence in education and research, as well as a demonstration of the talent and perseverance of young people who exchange knowledge and experiences.
