If you’re aiming for a perfect score in the Computer Science Baccalaureate exam, the Technical University of Moldova is here to support future high school graduates in this regard. UTM’s testing centers offer the possibility to take internationally recognized exams to certify specific competencies in the field of computer science. This topic sparked interest today on the ‘Bună dimineața!’ show broadcasted by Moldova 1 TV channel. Daniela CRUDU’s guest, Dinu ȚURCANU, Vice-Rector for Digitalization at UTM, engaged in an animated discussion on this matter.
Discussing this exciting initiative that offers young individuals the opportunity to secure a perfect score in the Computer Science Baccalaureate exam, Mr. Dinu ȚURCANU, Vice-Rector at UTM, mentioned that the first step involves familiarizing oneself with the methodology and the list of internationally recognized exams considered for granting a perfect score in the Computer Science exam. These provisions are outlined in Order No. 1326/2023 of the Minister of Education and Research, along with the methodology based on this order, developed in collaboration with the National Agency for Curriculum and Evaluation, set to be implemented starting with the 2024 Baccalaureate session.
Commending this initiative from the relevant authorities, Mr. Dinu Țurcanu highlighted that, given the rapid technological advancement and the growing importance of fostering digital skills in young people, it’s remarkable to enable those who, alongside their formal Computer Science studies, have taken additional courses, participated in extracurricular activities at various institutions, or independently pursued a passion for computer science, to take internationally recognized certification exams and secure a perfect score in the Baccalaureate Computer Science exam.
The next step is to select an exam from each area of the Computer Science course: Programming Languages; Computer Structure/Networks or Databases. These international certification exams can be taken at UTM – now an authorized CERTIPORT center. Starting from November 13th, registration forms for the exams are being accepted. Certiport, a part of Pearson VUE, is a global leader in performance-based certification exams and practical testing solutions. A Certiport certificate validates a high level of digital skills, providing the holder with real prospects for a successful career in any chosen field.
In this context, Vice-Rector Dinu ȚURCANU noted that students possessing digital skills beyond the scope of the school curriculum have the opportunity to enroll at the Technical University of Moldova. At UTM, they can build a secure future in their chosen professional field.
