Technical University of Moldova at the International Conference of Scientific Francophonie in Quebec, Canada

The recent participation in the World Scientific Francophonie Week (SMSF) in Quebec, Canada, marks a special moment for the Technical University of Moldova. Organized by the Association of Francophone Universities, the event brought together over 4000 participants, providing them with a valuable opportunity for the exchange of experience and networking across four essential domains: politics, science, youth, and cooperation.

The third International Conference of Scientific Francophonie, held within the SMSF from November 1st to 2nd, served as a pivotal platform for Francophone experts globally. The conference focused on the contribution of science to economic development within the Francophone space, the general theme being centered on tangible proposals and solutions for academic, socio-economic, and political stakeholders.viber image 2023 11 07 11 18 03 086

The Technical University of Moldova made a noteworthy impact at the international conference through the representation of Assoc. Prof. Nina PUȚUNTEAN, Ph.D., Head of the International Relations Service, and Coordinator of Francophone Projects. She presented a scientific communication titled “L’intégration des formations professionnalisantes en Moldova: étude de cas Université Technique de Moldova” (Integration of Vocational Training in Moldova: A Case Study of Technical University of Moldova). Engaging in the scientific panel moderated by Monica JIMAN, Chief Customer Success Officer at Pentalog, and member of AUF’s CES (Romania), and evaluated by Mohamed KETATA, Regional Director for Central and Eastern Europe at AUF, Ms. Nina PUȚUNTEAN presented her communication in Workshop No. 3 “Vocational Education – how to develop the delicate triad of training, employment, and socio-economic challenges”. Her presentation stood out among the 32 relevant papers selected from over 300 submissions to the Scientific Committee. Taking into consideration that only 10% of the proposed communications secured a slot for physical presentation, the appreciation and recognition of this work becomes so much more significant.

Participation in this conference was a great chance for the Technical University of Moldova to highlight and share its outstanding research and contributions internationally. It also marked a significant step towards strengthening its academic standing, emphasizing its unwavering dedication to scientific and educational advancement within the global Francophone community.
