A group of students from the Faculty of Energetics and Electrical Engineering of the Technical University of Moldova participated in the Doors Open Day at MIRD, an event organized by the Directorate of Policies in the Energy Sector of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Moldova.
In an effort to provide young engineers with guidance in their future careers in the field of energy, particularly in the public administration system, the specialists of the MIRD Directorate of Policies in the Energy Sector urged the students to contribute to the development of the national Energy sector and aim to be part of its advancement.
The students had the opportunity to learn from the main source about how to develop and promote public policies in the energy field, the categories of policy documentation, the connection between the primary legislative framework in the energy field and policy documentation, the country’s commitments in the field, etc.
Given the current challenges encountered in the field, MIDR has undertaken an extensive reform in the Energy sector, including through the recruitment of human resources and the increase the number of staff in order to advance the development and promotion of policies in the field. Thus, the career guidance provided for FEIE-UTM students has a definite objective – with a focus on strengthening institutional capacities, the Energy Policy Directorate of MIRD is to be completed with 17 staff units.
