Xmas FAF Hackathon managed to expand the boundaries of technology – 75 students of the Software Engineering program were given the task to develop innovative projects in just 24 hours.
From December 23 to December 24, the 15 teams put their creativity and technical skills to test by developing a software program for a randomly chosen User Persona – in similar fashion to the “Secret Santa” tradition. The participants brought their ideas to fruition and built a wide range of software projects, from social media platforms to artificial intelligence solutions.
The ingenuity and energy in the room was downright fascinating – almost all contestants were immersed in the process of writing code at 4 in the morning, proving their remarkable dedication to complete the projects on time and deliver a product worthy of recognition.
The best projects were awarded by the sponsors of the event, including Mixbook – a permanent partner of FAF. The Technical University of Moldova offered cash prizes for the winners of the 3 leading positions, but also for the team that won the People’s Choice award.
The participants benefited from the guidance and support of a team of experienced mentors, who readily shared their knowledge and experience, while also providing valuable advice in the process of development.
