CCOC: creative rebranding of labels for TUM wines

Inspired by the idea of creating an environment that combines a wide variety of aspects – elements of art, culture, engineering thinking and technical innovation, the Dendrological Park of the Technical University of Moldova is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for both students and teachers, as well as for all those who visit it.

The founders of the University Center for Career Counseling and Guidance – CCOC, the director Radu MELNIC and the deputy director Natalia ȘESTENCO, found the Park to be a wonderful source of inspiration for the rebranding of the label of wines manufactured within the Department of Chemistry and Oenology, Faculty of Food Technology.

Thus, after an assessment of all the ideas, a new concept and design was developed for the labels of the wines produced at TUM. The majestic sculpture of the Thinker meditating on existence, similar to the one of Hamangia, has been attributed to the “Rara Neagră” wine. “Omul creator”, also known as the Creative Man, a symbol of the famous artist and engineer of the Renaissance, Leonardo da Vinci, will become the mark of the “Merlot” wine. The first inventions of primitive man – the discovery of fire by spark and stick, will be depicted by the “Sauvignon Blanc” wine; The Fertility symbol will be represented by the “Feteasca Neagră” wine (rosé), the evolution of the wheel – “Feteasca Neagră” (red), and the vintage tram pulled by horses, which once traveled through Chișinău – “Feteasca Regală”. The first tractor to appear on our land in the 1950s, also known as “Universal-2”, was associated with the “Cabernet Sauvignon” wine. One of the symbols of our nation – the winepress – was perfectly suited to “Rkatsiteli” wine. The wind installations were represented by “Feteasca Albă”, the symbol of eternal love – “Băncile îndrăgostiților”, otherwise known as “The benches of lovers” – by “Chardonnay”, and the Virgo symbol – by the wine “Viorica”.

Therefore, on the occasion of the winter holidays, TUM can offer its guests and partners symbolistic souvenirs with aesthetics and contents that represent the institution.

Merry Christmas everyone!
