In the context of the collaboration between the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications and the Public Enterprise “National Center for Radio Frequency Management”, the students of the “Engineering and Management in Telecommunications” (IMTC) program, the “Telecommunications Networks and Software” (TST) program and the “Telecommunications Technologies and Systems” (TST) program paid a visit to the company.
The students were welcomed by the company’s management team: director Andrei GAVRISI; the head of the Technical Management Department of Radio Frequency Spaces, Maxim CUMPANICI, and the head of the Product Conformity Assessment Department, Anatolie GUZUN, with the participation of experts in the field: Mihai MORARU, labor protection specialist; Constantin PLĂMĂDEALĂ, electronics and communications engineer; Anatolie VODĂ, electronics and communications engineer; Alexandr BÎCU, head of laboratory.
The main task of Î.P. “National Center for Radio Frequencies” is to provide the needs of the national economy and the population of the Republic of Moldova in terms of radio frequencies/channels for the development of television, broadcasting, fixed and mobile radio communications services, etc. The company focuses on ensuring the spectrum needs of radio frequencies for new and existing national users, as well as ensuring the protection of national frequencies, including at international level.
The students had the opportunity to visit the Semi Anechoic Chamber, the Control Room and the research and testing laboratories of the enterprise. During the tour, the specialists explained the principles of how the laboratory operates by demonstrating practical examples, using professional equipment and analyzing the obtained results.
At the end of the tour, the visitors were invited to a dialogue in the conference room, where they had the opportunity to ask various questions to the management team. The students expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to witness the activities carried out within the company and the quality of the work done in the laboratories. Correspondingly, they appreciated how complicated, but interesting is the work of an engineer in this field.
