On December 1, 2021, a delegation from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of the Technical University of Moldova visited the company ÎCS MOD Engineering SRL in Chișinău. The visit was organized in the context of the Partnership Agreement concluded by the parties in October 2021.
MOD Engineering is a company of major interest to TUM, as it involves a great number of specialists in the fields of design of naval, aeronautical, industrial engines and mechanical transmissions; know-how 3D design of thermal insulation systems, metal casting and forging, automation, etc. Thus, the representatives of FIMIT-TUM and the partners from ÎCS MOD Engineering SRL have established the actions to be taken in order to stimulate the young people’s interest in the company’s specialized fields. The goals include improving the study programs for the specialties of concern of the company, organizing internships for students, work visits and applicative activities, establishing guidelines for the topics of undergraduate projects, Master theses and Doctoral theses, focused on real implementations and ensuring the access of FIMIT students to the technical and logistical resources of the company.
The discussions on the improvement of the new generation of engineers were attended by: dean of FIMIT-TUM, assoc. prof., Dr. Sergiu DÎNTU, accompanied by assoc. prof., Dr. Sergiu MAZURU, head of the Department of Machine Building Technology; assoc. prof., Dr. Alexei TOCA, head of the “Machine Building Technology” program; univ. lect., Dr. Marin GUŢU, head of the “Mechanical Engineering” program, lect. Igor ROTARU, head of the “Auto Transport Engineering” program, as well as the hosts, represented by Mr. Franco POLESELLO, director of MOD Engineering, and the representative of Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Moldova, Mr. Mihai LITVINCIUC.
