Iurie SUBOTIN – the new dean of the Faculty of Food Technology, elected by the TUM Senate

Today, November 23, 2021, the Senate of the Technical University of Moldova unanimously elected (with 0 votes AGAINST) the most popular professor of chemistry, Mr. Iurie SUBOTIN, as dean of the Faculty of Food Technology.

Iurie SUBOTIN has been an associate professor, Doctor of Chemistry at TUM for 25 years, and professor of chemistry at the Public Institution “Ion Creangă” Theoretical High School in Chișinău for several years.

“When I go to work, I have to feel satisfied about what I’m doing. For me, that’s what being a teacher means”, Mr Subotin emphasized. In his opinion, the teacher should work enthusiastically and try to be heard by as many as possible, regardless of the group of students he is dealing with. He believes that education plays a crucial role in society, as teachers are the ones who try to shape an individual. The way a child comes out of school and the way a student comes out of the university matters a lot – feelings, information, everything memorized during classes. “You can’t know everything, but it’s important to know where to look in order to solve the problem that appears before you”, claims Iurie SUBOTIN.

Sincere congratulations, Mr dean! We wish you to continue your activity at FTA with the same limitless passion and dedication. We mention that the previous dean, Vladislav REȘITCA, is now the vice-rector for Didactic Activity of the Technical University of Moldova.
