The Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy (FTP) of the Technical University of Moldova, in collaboration with specialists from the Institute of Standardization of Moldova, organized the online event “The role of standards in quality assurance of products and processes” within the course “Quality Management” (assoc. prof., Dr. Valentina BULGARU). The aim of the event was to bring attention to the aspects related to the promotion of the use of standards in quality assurance of products and processes, in the context of the implementation of the Association Agreement Republic of Moldova – European Union.
The fourth year students from the Bachelor study programs within the Department of Textiles and Polygraph Design and Technologies – Polygraph Design and Technologies, Industrial Fashion Design, Textiles Design and Technologies – benefited from a constructive online dialogue with Mrs. Tatiana CROTOVICI, head of the Communication and External Relations Department within the Institute of Standardization of the Republic of Moldova.
The topics addressed included:
- The national standardization system and its role;
- Duties of the Standardization Institute of Moldova;
- What are standards? Categories of standards;
- What are technical committees?
- The benefits of implementing standards;
- How to identify a standard;
- International standards for management systems;
- Copyright of standards;
- How is a standard legally held?
The students have shown an increased interest in the topic. We would like to thank Mrs. Tatiana CROTOVICI, head of the Communication and External Relations Department within the Standardization Institute of the Republic of Moldova, for the informative presentation.
