On October 27, 2021, the Department of Engineering, Law and Real Estate Valuation (DIDEI) within the Faculty of Construction, Geodesy and Cadastre (FCGC) of TUM hosted the national scientific seminar “Architectural Heritage: technical, economic and legal aspects”. The seminar, now at its 2nd edition, took place within the Project “Increasing the value of the cultural heritage of the Republic of Moldova”.
For almost nine years, the Code Factory branch in the Republic of Moldova has been organizing multiple ambitious projects and contributing to the growth of the IT field in the country. As an old acquaintance of TUM, Code Factory always comes with various proposals and initiatives for the University, from which it eventually selects its future employees.
On October 26, 2021, the FCIM Amphitheater 3-3 hosted the Chess Tournament dedicated to the 57th anniversary of the founding of the Technical University of Moldova. The tournament took place in compliance with all epidemiological norms.
The participation of the representatives of the “Interior Design” and “Architecture” programs within the faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning of TUM at the Fine Arts Exhibition was appreciated with a Diploma of gratitude for promoting quality culture. The Exhibition was opened inside the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Education and Research.
Under the auspices of the TUM administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Moldova, the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre hosted the public lecture “Combating human trafficking” for the students of the Law program. The lesson aimed to help reduce the vulnerability of risk groups to the threats of human trafficking.
On Monday, October 25, 2021, the Faculty of Power and Electrical Engineering (FEIE) of the Technical University of Moldova concluded a collaboration agreement with the Costești Hydropower Plant (NHEC), which provides for the development of partnership relations between the parties both educationally and economically.
According to the tradition of TUM, the rector of the Technical University of Moldova, prof. univ., Dr. Viorel BOSTAN, congratulated the valedictorians of 2021 on the occasion of graduating with the highest academic grade among their class, as well as for their choice to pursue a Master degree at Alma Mater. Mr. Bostan handed each student a laptop, which, after the successful completion of their Master education, will remain their personal belonging. The students were also congratulated by the assoc. prof., Dr. Vladislav REȘITCA, vice-rector for Didactic Activity, and Dinu ŢURCANU, vice-rector for Informatization, Partnerships, Institutional Image and Communication.
On October 21, 2021, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the opening of the International Conference “Electronics, Communications and Computing” ECCO-2021 – a major event for the scientific community in the country and abroad.
The Engineering HUB FabLab Chișinău organized an impressive demonstration of the technical potential of their equipment.
On 19.10.2021, the dean of the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre of the Technical University of Moldova, assoc. prof., Dr. Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, together with her colleagues, assoc. prof., Dr. Svetlana HARITONOV, head of the study program “Fire Safety and Civil Protection Engineering” and Vitali MUTAF, assistant lecturer within the respective study program, had the special opportunity to have an online discussion with univ. prof., Dr. Eng. Sorin BURCHIU, dean of the Faculty of Building Services Engineering within the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest Bucharest (UTCB) in Romania.
