FET: Project Management – a standard of performance in the field of telecommunications

The Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications (FET), in collaboration with Huawei Technologies Deutschland GmbH, finalized the series of webinars on “Project management – a standard of performance in telecommunications”, organized for students in the Bachelor and Master cycles.

The last workshop, conducted on April 29, featured Sergiu ISTRATI, Program Director FBB, PMO, Telefonica Germany Account, Huawei Technologies Deutschland GmbH. Sergiu spoke about ways of managing a project in the field of telecommunications and pointed out the most important aspects: the goal of the project; the project plan; the calculation of effort in HR; the logistics solution; project risks; and the total project expenses.

The highlighted aspects were exemplified through practical models, which encouraged students and teachers to be involved and ask any emerging questions. The final piece of advice given by Sergiu ISTRATI was delivered through Swami Vivekananda’s quote: “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life; dream of it; think of it; live on that idea. Let the brain, the body, muscles, nerves, every part of your body be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success […].”

The Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications expresses its sincere gratitude to Mr. Sergiu ISTRATI, Program Director FBB, PMO, Telefonica Germany Account, Huawei Technologies Deutschland GmbH, for the exceptional organization, the useful information and the enjoyable atmosphere of these workshops. TUM looks forward to continuing this collaboration in the future, for increasing the professional skills and competences of FET students.
