Today, over 200 students of high schools and centers of excellence from different regions of the country visited the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics, online. This is the first meeting of a series of conferences, titled “Open Doors Days at UTM”, organized and customarily guided by the Career Information and Guidance Center – CEGHID.

Those interested in pursuing their studies at this exceedingly requested faculty within the Technical University of Moldova met the FCIM Dean, Dumitru CIORBĂ, and the Heads of departments and programs within the faculty. The dialogue lasted well over 3 hours, 2 of which were dedicated exclusively to the session of questions and answers, managed by the secretary of the UTM Admissions Commission, Radu MELNIC, university lecturer at FCIM, director of CEGHID, but also by the deputy director of CEGHID, Natalia ȘESTENCO.

Due to it being a well-known faculty in the country and abroad, the students were particularly interested in the FCIM programs “Automatics and Informatics”, “Computers and Networks”, “Biomedical Engineering”, “Applied Informatics”, “Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies”, “Robotics and Mechatronics” and the English-taught program “Software Engineering”. The students were also interested in the accommodation provided by UTM, the living conditions, opportunities and academic mobility, etc.

For 9 business days, until April 29, the 9 faculties of UTM will be presenting the scientific-didactic potential of each one of them, the range of curricular and extracurricular activities, the results of national and international cooperation, and, evidently, the professors and students of the faculties. We urge students to benefit from the opportunity to discover the potential of UTM and to get familiarized with the offers provided by all 9 faculties.
