The Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications of the Technical University of Moldova organized an inter-institutional online conference with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava (USV). Provided the systematization of the content of shared study programs, students of both universities now have the opportunity to obtain the UTM Master’s degree and the USV Master’s degree. This has been made possible as a result of the approval of the Interuniversity Double Diploma Agreement between the two universities in 2017.
The main focus of the conference was the process of systematization of the Master’s degree curricula, correlating the curriculum according to the available courses, content correspondence, credit correspondence, preconditions for following the study programs, establishing the schedule of didactic activities and assessments, coordinating standards for elaboration and defense of Master theses.
Further discussions were carried out on topics regarding the mobility of students from undergraduate and Master’s programs, but also of teachers within the Erasmus+ program, as well as the organization of professional training programs for teachers, participation in research, technical endowment of laboratories, etc.
On behalf of the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, the conference was attended by Prof., Dr. Eng. Mihai DIMIAN, Vice-Rector for Scientific Activity, and Associate Professor, Dr. Eng. Alexandra-Ligia BALAN, from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, of the Computers, Automatics and Electronics Department.
FET-UTM was represented by 4 professors involved in the process of organizing and conducting Double Diploma studies – Associate Professor, Dr. Pavel NISTIRIUC, Dean of FET; Associate Professor, Dr. Lilia SAVA, Head of the Department of Telecommunications and Electronic Systems; Univ. Lect. Andrei CHIHAI, Head of FET Master programs; Associate Professor, Dr. Lucia GUJUMAN, President of the Quality Management Commission, FET.
In the name of USV, the USV management representative, Prof., Dr. Eng. Mihai DIMIAN, has remarked on the success of the collaboration on the Double Diploma segment with UTM.
