Today, March 10th, the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Lilia POGOLȘA, had a meeting with the Rector of the Technical University of Moldova, prof. Viorel BOSTAN.
During the discussions, Minister Lilia POGOLȘA mentioned her appreciation for Dr. Viorel BOSTAN’s success in his work as Rector of UTM, noting that his managerial experience and professional qualities actively contribute to the development and advance of the Technical University of Moldova among institutions with valuable potential in education and research, both nationally and internationally, writes https://mecc.gov.md/.
In this context, Viorel BOSTAN spoke about the main actions he will undertake as rector of UTM, namely: ensuring academic quality (education and research); development of and motivation for the human resources; diversification of the educational offer, of the teaching-learning methods and of the financing sources; the liability and transparency of the university management; further integration with the industry/business environment, digitization of the educational system of the institution; continuous promotion of a student-centered and quality focused educational process, in order to ensure the competitiveness of the University at national and regional level; applying a proactive approach to motivating and supporting teachers in their scientific research, innovation and development activities and technology transfer; elaboration and implementation of a system of evaluation and promotion of research and innovation activities correlated with current trends, including by measuring the visibility and impact of the scientific results, etc.
Finally, the Minister Lilia Pogolșa reiterated the importance of efficient management of the activity of higher education institutions, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
