The International Transylvania Fashion Festival has brought together designers from 8 countries, including representatives of the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy within the Technical University of Moldova. The event was organized in Cluj-Napoca, between September 17-19, 2021.

The TUM professor and artist Victor COBZAC displayed his paintings and sculptures in an exhibition opened on Friday at the Exhibition Center “Constantin Brâncuși” in Chișinău.
Assoc. prof., Dr. Rodica SIMINIUC, Head of Doctorate and Postdoctoral Affairs, represented the Technical University of Moldova at the festival “Days of Chișinău in Ilfov County” – an event promoting Romanian cultural values, held in Măgurele, Romania, between October 15-16, 2021. The festival is an effort to support the consolidation of the partnership relations between Măgurele City Hall, Ilfov County and Chișinău.
The Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business within the Technical University of Moldova organizes the International Economic Conference “COMPETITIVENESS AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN THE CONTEXT OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION”, 3rd edition, between November 4-5, 2021.
Between September 13, 2021 and September 18, 2021, the Center for Advanced Academic Studies – CAAS in Dubrovnik, Croatia, within the University of Zagreb, hosts the Summer School organized through the educational project “Business driven problem-based learning for academic excellence in geoinformatics – GEOBIZ”, funded by the European Union Erasmus+KA2 – Strengthening international capacities Nr. 610225-EPP-1-2019-1-HR-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP (project coordinator from TUM: assoc. prof., Dr. Eng. Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, dean of FCGC).
The TUM team responsible for the coordination of the “DANOVA – innovative transport services for blind and visually impaired passengers in the Danube Region” project in the Republic of Moldova held a press conference at IPN with the purpose of presenting the transnational cooperation project, co-financed by the Transnational Program “INTERREG Danube Transnational Programme”, one of the European Territorial Cooperation programs funded by the European Union.
On the Day of the Romanian Engineer, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the conference of the Boards of Directors of five universities, among which Transylvania University from Brașov, „Ștefan cel Mare” University from Suceava, Technical University from Cluj-Napoca and „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University from Iași. The profession of an engineer is considered to be a traditional one in Romania, the first Romanian Technical Corps being established on June 15, 1894.
Between September 9-10, 2021, prof., Dr. Svetlana ALBU, assoc. prof., Dr. Ion ALBU and lecturer Liliana JITARI visited Bucharest, Romania, for an international exchange of experience, as members of the research project “Increasing the value of architectural heritage in the Republic of Moldova” at the Technical University of Moldova, Faculty of Construction, Geodesy and Cadastre, Department of Engineering, Management and Valuation of Real Estate.
During the meeting conducted on September 6, the Board of Directors of TUM decided to launch the Digital Course Contest for the 2021/2022 academic year.
As an advocate for information culture, the Library of the Technical University of Moldova has undertaken a series of actions to help users navigate through the enormous torrent of information available, in order to benefit effectively from library-bibliographic services and to be aware of the need for information, the necessity of understanding it and the importance of evaluating it analytically.
