On the Day of the Romanian Engineer, the Technical University of Moldova hosted the conference of the Boards of Directors of five universities, among which Transylvania University from Brașov, „Ștefan cel Mare” University from Suceava, Technical University from Cluj-Napoca and „Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University from Iași. The profession of an engineer is considered to be a traditional one in Romania, the first Romanian Technical Corps being established on June 15, 1894.
