Oleg Lupan, professor and scientist in the fields of Physics, Microelectronics and Nanotechnologies, head of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics, UTM, has surpassed the number of 11,000 citations of scientific publications, according to the Google Scholar Citations platform. An absolute record!
He is the first scientist from the Republic of Moldova to achieve such results, his name appearing in the list of the most cited researchers in the world provided by Web of Science (WoS).
Oleg Lupan has been a representative of the Department of Microelectronics and Biomedical Engineering, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics since 2012, working in UTM for over 27 years, and undergoing all stages of training – engineer, lecturer, associate professor, university professor. For over a quarter of a century, he dedicated his time to the education of the young generation and to the research within the only higher education institution focused on engineering in the Republic of Moldova. He also worked as a scientific researcher at the largest Center for Scientific Research in France, CNRS, and as a professor, scientist and guest expert at prestigious universities in the USA, Germany, France, and in other countries, as a result of participating in international competitions. His research focuses mainly on the development and integration of nanomaterials in nanosensors and devices sizes under 100 nanometers.
