On Open Doors Day, FIMIT – engineers create the Future

Focused on the needs of industrial enterprises and transport operators, one of the largest faculties of UTM – the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport (FIMIT), welcomed today’s visitors in online format.

The dialogue with the young people interested in the faculty was managed by the responsible secretary of UTM’s Admission Committee, Radu MELNIC, the dean of FIMIT – Sergiu DÂNTU, and the heads of departments: Transport – Victor CEBAN, Manufacturing Engineering – Rodion CIUPERCĂ, Mechanical Engineering – Natalia ŢISLINSCAIA, Industrial and Product Design – Valeriu PODBORSCHI. The study programs that ensure the training of engineers within the Faculty include: Machine Building Technology; Machines and Production Systems; Mechanical engineering; Refrigerating Equipment and Air Conditioning Systems; Industrial and Product Design; Auto Transport Engineering; Operating Technologies in Transport; Engineering and Management in Machine Building; Transport Engineering and Management.

The study programs of Mechanical Engineering are the specialties of the Future, and the graduates of this faculty are in high demand. From cars to artificial cold and robots, from heat engines to aircraft engines and mechatronic computer systems. All these fields are in need of an engineer captivated by innovation and technology transfer, design and manufacture of machines, mechanical and transport equipment for cars, rail, air. In fact, mechanical engineering, automobiles and mechatronics will never cease to develop and become more efficient. Thus, the professional activity of engineers trained at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Transport of the Technical University of Moldova will always be essential.
