Today, high school and college graduates eager to explore one of the oldest areas of development in the world – construction, as well as its branches – cadastre and geodesy, had the excellent opportunity to participate in an online dialogue with the dean of the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre, associate professor, Dr. Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, and the responsible secretary of the Admission Committee, UTM, Radu MELNIC, during the “Open Doors Days at UTM”.
The students were particularly interested in the study and living conditions in the dorms; the job titles/positions they will be able to aspire to after graduation; the extent to which the FCGC is open to cooperation with other institutions in the country and abroad. With reference to the 2020 Admission, students were interested in the maximum intake number of applicants for this year, the study programs, the languages of instruction; whether the disciplines studied in colleges are equivalent to those in high schools, etc.
The young people found out that the Bachelor’s Degree program of FCGC proposes a wide range of specialties/study programs: Construction and Civil Engineering; Geodetic engineering and cadastre; Real Estate Assessment; Law (Patrimonial Law); Fire Safety and Civil Protection Engineering; Engineering and Construction Management. Thanks to the cooperation with various foreign universities and established mobility programs, FCGC students have the chance to study abroad from 3 to 12 months, and after graduation, the employment rate of young specialists trained at FCGC is 80-90%.
See you tomorrow, online, at the Faculty of Food Technology!
