“Introduction to IT security” is one of the 6 optional courses in Computer Science, for which the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova has ordered the establishment of working groups for curriculum development, but also course materials for teacher staff training, according to art. 40 of the Education Code, for the diversification of the curricular content.

Today, May 19th, 2020, the General Assembly of the members of the Faculty Councils and of the representatives of the student-members of the Senate and of the Councils of the Faculties of UTM, elected, through secret ballot, two members of the Council for Institutional Strategic Development (CDSI) of the Technical University of Moldova from among the teaching staff of UTM.

The students and professors of the Department of Software Engineering and Automatics, Faculty of Computers, Informatics and Microelectronics of UTM, celebrated this year’s World Telecommunication and Information Society Day through a theoretical-applied seminar “Databases – new and old paradigms”, organized remotely on May 15th, 2020.
Despite the pandemic and the restrictions imposed by it, the admission period is starting soon, which marks a big step for graduates of high schools, colleges/centers of excellence, who now will choose the field they want to pursue in the future.
