Dinu ȚURCANU, Vice-Rector for Informatization, Partnerships, Institutional Image and Communication at UTM, member of the working group responsible for organizing the “Instructions on remote learning in general education”, participated today, March 16th, in the meeting convened at the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, in the context of suspending the educational process in educational institutions (Order no. 292/2020), in order to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus epidemic.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Corneliu POPOVICI mentioned that, in exceptional situations, efficient and prompt actions are required: “The importance of ensuring the continuity of the remote learning process, so that all students are included in this process, is urgently needed at the moment. We count on the responsibility of the managers of the educational institutions and the involvement and dedication of the teachers in order to make possible the successful implementation of this process”, the official declared.

During the meeting, the members of the working group agreed on the specific pedagogical and didactic principles of remote learning, the recommended formats of remote learning, the platforms to be used, the methods of evaluation and processing of student results, remote formative and summative assessment techniques, the role and duties of parents, etc.

At the same time, the participants in the meeting discussed aspects regarding the management of the implementation of remote learning in the context of exceptional situations.
