More than 500 students of high schools and centers of excellence from different localities of the Republic have responded promptly to the initiative of the Technical University of Moldova, which for several years has been organizing free preparatory courses for the Baccalaureate exams.
Today, February 15th, the classrooms of the academic campuses Râșcani and Botanica of UTM hosted the first courses of preparation for mathematics, physics and artistic drawing.
“The first candidates for the courses represent a very varied geographical range: from the capital, the Chișinău municipality, but also from the localities near Chișinău – Ialoveni, Băcioi, Strășeni, etc. Their choice to prepare for the BAC namely at UTM is proof of great confidence on their part, but also of the responsibility that comes to us as an institution”, said the director of the University Center for Career Information and Guidance, Radu Melnic, and the deputy director, Natalia Șestenco.
“These courses open the path to the faculty and, implicitly, the professional field to which they aspire. We are proud that the high-school students have chosen UTM for this purpose, the institution that they know of from colleagues, brothers and friends who encourage young people to discover the fascinating world of engineering, technology and innovation”, said Dinu Țurcanu, vice-rector for Informatization, Partnerships, Institutional Image and Communication at the Technical University of Moldova.
This is just the first wave of young people aspiring to successfully pass the BAC exams.
The preparation program for the Baccalaureate exams is part of the actions organized by UTM to increase the success of the high school graduates. Through the dedication and professionalism of its teachers, UTM wishes to contribute to the achievement of remarkable results by the graduates of the country, but also to motivate the high-school students to study and love STEM objects.
