The Technical University of Moldova maintains its connection with pre-university educational institutions. This time, in partnership with the General Directorate of Education, Youth and Sport of the Chișinău Municipal Council, the capital’s schools and high schools have delegated at UTM more than 150 representatives, managers and responsible staff for ensuring the functionality of the official WEB pages, at a seminar organized at the request of DGETS regarding ensuring the functionality and efficient use of the WEB pages of the general education institutions in the managerial and methodical activity.
Between February 17-21st, 2020, ESRI Romania organized courses in the field of Geographic Information Systems, dedicated to teachers and students in Romania. Thanks to the favourable collaboration with the current administration of the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre of the Technical University of Moldova, two representatives from the Republic of Moldova were invited to the courses – Dr. Eng. Livia NISTOR-LOPATENCO, dean FCGC, and assist. Dumitru BOTNARU, who successfully passed the ESRI test.

Elena BOCANCEA, Cristina ANDREI and Nely MOROȘAN, students of the study program “Design and polygraphic technologies”, gr. DTP-171, the Faculty of Textile and Polygraphy, are the winners of the contest “The best commercial poster”, held under the auspices of the Editorial-Polygraphic House BONS OFFICES.
The UTM Senate examined, during yesterday’s meeting, a topic of utmost importance for promoting the image and values of UTM in the context of the professional orientation of students of the pre-university institutions and centers of excellence in the engineering specialties within UTM. An extensive report on the activity of the University Center for Career Information and Guidance was presented by the director of CEGHID, Radu Melnic.
The Technical University of Moldova is sparking the interest of the students eager to pursue engineering studies. This is also the case of the students from the College of Light Industry in Bălți, who paid a visit to the Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy.
At the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, public hearings are taking place on the results obtained in the research and innovation projects, financed from the state budget, in institutional projects and some bilateral projects for young researchers, carried out in 2019. A directive in this regard was approved in 2018 by the ANCD in coordination with the AȘM, taking into account the subsequent changes on the evaluation criteria.
Today, 8 teachers of the Textile and Polygraphy Faculty have been awarded with high performance laptops, which they will use in their didactic, scientific and extracurricular activities.
Another 15 teachers honored and fulfilled, with the appreciation and importance attributed to their merit! Professors from the Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre, awarded within the Faculty Council with a high-performance laptop, offered for dedication and prodigious activity within the initiative of the rector of UTM, prof., Dr. Viorel BOSTAN, “ICT tools in the teaching activity of UTM”.
During February 17th-21th, 2020, a study visit took place at the Transilvania University of Brașov, Romania, within the MHELM project. The study visit was attended by representatives of six higher education institutions in Moldova, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research. Viorel Bostan, Rector of the UTM, Vice-Rectors Larisa Bugaian and Dinu Țurcanu, Daniela Pojar, Head of the Resource Management Department, Rafael Ciloci, FIEB dean, and Cornelia Crucerescu, responsible for International Relations, FIEB, participated in the study visit from UTM.
