Muffins, dough pigeons, Romanian pastries stuffed with jam and a lot of desire to provide a reason for happiness, love and warmth for children – these were the ingredients of the charity culinary workshop “The taste of happiness in small gestures”, organized today, January 11th, 2020, at the Faculty of Food Technology of the Technical University of Moldova.

The protagonists of the event were 19 children – pupils of the boarding school for hearing impaired children from the village of Hârbovăț, Călărași district, who, on the occasion of the winter holidays, benefited from trip to Chișinău, offered by the administration of the Technical University of Moldova and Ministry of Internal Affairs.

At UTM, the children visited the Faculty of Food Technology, where, together with the professors of the Department of Food and Nutrition, they participated in 4 super-interesting and delicious workshops, during which they learned to prepare raspberry muffins, dough pigeons, Romanian pastries with jam and powdered sugar and many more. Their enthusiasm was appreciated by the dean of FTA – associate professor, Vladislav Reșitca, head of DAN – associate professor, Dr. Aurica Chirsanova, head of the Doctoral and Postdoctoral Directorate – associate professor, Dr. Rodica Siminiuc, more professors of UTM and the representative of the event partner – the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mariana Grama, who congratulated them and delighted them with various gifts.

In the second half of the day, the little guests from Hârbovăț had a meeting with the Minister of Internal Affairs, Pavel Voicu, and visited the National Center for Integrated Coordination of Public Order Actions.
