Increasing the visibility and consolidation of the UTM position in the international community continues to promote cooperation with prestigious universities, including through Double Diploma Agreements, which offer students the possibility to obtain the diplomas of two universities in the same field simultaneously, following a number of semesters in the partner university and possibly an internship. The completion of the programs is done by defending a dissertation/Master’s thesis, in front of a joint commission. It is a unique opportunity for our students to learn about other teaching-learning methods, to expand their access to information sources and to obtain a European diploma while studying at home.
In the academic year 2019-2020, the list of joint programs of studies with Double Diploma was completed with two new programs: “Product design and development” – planned in collaboration with the Technical University “Gh. Asachi” from Iași (TUIAȘI), Romania, and “Information Security” – with West Attica University, Greece.
The educational offer of UTM for the Master’s cycle with a Double Diploma includes 9 study programs. Graduates of the programs “Business Administration”, “Information technologies”, “Computers and Information Networks”, “Quality and security of Food Products” and “Electrical engineering” obtain diplomas offered by UTM and “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava (USV), Romania; of the programs “Electroenergetics” and “Energy and Environment” – diplomas of UTM and the POLITEHNICA University of Bucharest (UPB); of the program “Product Design and Development” – diplomas of UTM and TUIAȘI, and graduates of the program “Information Security” – diplomas of UTM and West Attica University of Greece.
