The Technical University of Moldova has become a full member of the Consortium of Rectors of Universities of the Danube area (DRC).
During the annual conference of the Rectors of the Danube Universities, which took place in November at the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, the Rector Viorel Bostan presented the UTM candidacy for the adherence to the DRC. Following the examination of the application submitted, the Board of Rectors of the Danube Universities voted the accession of the UTM to the DRC.
The Consortium of Rectors of Universities in the Danube area is a network that includes about 70 universities in the Danube area. The consortium aims to improve higher education – teaching and research in the Danube area and focuses, in particular, on promoting member universities in the region by establishing and facilitating bilateral and multilateral relations between member universities.
By joining the Consortium, UTM becomes more visible in the region and will have a say in the development of higher education in the region.
