Rodica MUSTEAȚĂ, director of the serial publication “Monitorul Fiscal FISC.md” (Fiscal Monitor FISC.md), a graduate of the Faculty of Economic Engineering and Business, is proud of the studies done at UTM, emphasizing the unquestionable contribution of the teachers to her professional training, but also to her personality development.
One of the special moments of the remarkable event “The Days of the Academy of Technical Sciences of Romania”, held for the first time in Chișinău, was the recognition of the scientific and professional merits of four teacher-scientists, who made their name in the field of science.
Held for the first time in Chișinău, the Days of the Academy of Technical Sciences in Romania, bringing together scientific researchers and engineers from both sides of the Prut, aim to sensitize society to the idea of the role that creativity plays in perpetuating human civilization. A meritorious example in this regard is represented by acad. Ion BOSTAN, who recently celebrated his 70th birthday.
Today we pay tribute to the academic Ion BOSTAN – the septuagenarian who dedicated to the Technical University of Moldova almost a quarter of a century, tripling the number of students and specialties, transforming this unique institution of engineering higher education in the largest and most visible university in the national education system. He retired to return to the passion of his life – research, through which he made a name for himself, for UTM, but also for the whole country.
Eugen SUVAC, student of the Faculty of Urbanism and Architecture, year III, specialty “Engineering and Protection of Water” (IPA-161) benefited from the opportunity to live the dream of Water Harmony in Norway, within the homonymous project developed and promoted by the University of Human Sciences from Norway, where he studied and lived for three weeks.
The Technical University of Moldova is one of the two universities in the Republic of Moldova included in the ranking of the best universities in Europe and Central Asia, with economy in transition.
On October 10th, 2019, the students of the specialty “Constructions and Civil Engineering”, Faculty of Constructions, Geodesy and Cadastre, year IV, together with the university assistant, PhD Vadim ȚURCAN, Department of Civil Engineering and Geodesy, participated in the Practical Workshop on the use of automated information systems SCADA, REGAUAI, WUAGIS, organized by the Sustainable Development Fund.
On October 11th, 2019, a representative delegation of the Technical University of Moldova (UTM) went to the “Ștefan cel Mare” University of Suceava (USV), to attend a joint session on the analysis of the Double Diploma Agreement, through which the UTM Master’s students get the opportunity to obtain a double diploma – one from the Republic of Moldova, from UTM, and another from Romania, from USV – a pioneering achievement for the higher education in the two countries, the basis of which was laid two years ago, in 2017.
The National Center for Space Technologies (CNTS) within UTM participated, on October 9th and 10th, 2019, in the experiment “Inter-MAI-75”, during which, from the International Space Station (ISS), type SSTV images were transmitted (slow scanner TV) (https://issfanclub.eu/2019/09/27/watch-for-mai-75-sstv-sessions/).
On October 9th, 2019, FCIM held the first event, out of a series of events planned to be conducted with employers in the 2019/2020 academic year, with reference to the impact of internationalization on employability. The roundtable on October 9th was carried out in the context of the project Elevate – Elevation of the internationalization of higher education in Moldova, financed through the Erasmus+ program.
