ICT Career Orientation at Tekwill

Today, Tekwill opened its doors for the largest professional orientation event in the field of Information and Communication Technology, dedicated to young people interested in a career or growth in the field – ICT Career Orientation.

Coming to its 10th edition, the event had a record number of 12 sections for career orientation sessions, 27 sessions and workshops on relevant topics, 30 speakers – specialists in IT and Communications, 17 renowned companies, including Orange Systems, Allied Testing, Pentalog, Moldcell, Code factory, Amdaris, Gilat Satellite Networks MDC, Best 4U Development, Salt Edge, Noction, Esempla Endava and many more, registering a record number of participants – over 1450. 

The current edition came with exhaustive information about the internships (the requirements for obtaining an internship in an IT company and future prospects), as well as spectacular technological demonstrations. Together with Tatiana Buciuceanu, Delivery Lead at AMDARIS, Artificial Intelligence enthusiasts were able to assist in creating a smart bot for Telegram, which ordered… a pizza. They also enjoyed a presentation dedicated to the analysis of the fundamental parts of Angular. Speakers of Best4u Development, Ștefanița Ciutac, QA engineer, and Ștefan Florescu, QA manager, intrigued them with a debate on the topic: “How can you become a HERO?”

The specialists from PENTALOG have taken into account the young people’s preferences for various programming languages. Coming with the urge to “Learn about GO, Learn with Go!”, they spoke to those interested in Google’s programming language Go, but also about RxJS – a modern library for reactive programming, referring in particular to game development and web interfaces.

Solutions-technologies for Internet access, VoIP and video stream in the sparsely populated regions have also been demonstrated, GILAT Satellite Networks MDC captivating with a satellite telecommunications demonstration, able to overcome the technical difficulties in the respective areas.

Beyond the spectacular lectures and master classes, ICT Career Orientation has firmly pursued the goal of explaining to young people the demands of IT companies towards their employees: from the application process to further professional growth.

ICT Career Orientation was organized by the National Association of ICT Companies in partnership with the Technical University of Moldova, with the support of the United States Agency for International Development and of Sweden within the “Tekwill” Project.
