UTM cooperation with the Ministry of Defense of RM

Today, during a work visit, the vice-rector of the Technical University of Moldova, Dinu ȚURCANU, had a meeting with Vladimir ILIEV, state secretary in the field of Human Resources Development, Military Education and Resource Planning Policies, at the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Moldova; the president of the Association of Women of the National Army (AFAN), colonel Mariana GRAMA, head of the International Cooperation Directorate; and Vitalie BUTNARU, consultant for the Directorate of Development of Human Resources and Military Education Policies within the Ministry of Defense.

The meeting aimed to initiate a collaboration agreement with the Technical University of Moldova. During the discussions, the main objectives of the collaboration were outlined: the building competence and experience, establishing and maintaining a solid relationship with the engineering academic curriculum of UTM to ensure the skills needed for the labor market, including the various areas of the Ministry of Defense, carrying out educational / research projects, preparing and recruiting students – developers, system administrators, cyber security officers, etc; the involvement of teachers and students in the development of products, services and methods through direct collaboration between the parties; recruitment – internships and employment programs.

The management of the Ministry thanked the administration of the Technical University of Moldova for availability, appreciating the high-quality training of the graduates, being optimistic about the results of the collaboration that the parties will establish.

Vice-rector Dinu ȚURCANU showed his appreciation at this meeting, thanking the Secretary of State for opening. He mentioned that signing an Agreement on the objectives and the action plan discussed today, will strengthen the existing cooperation between the two institutions, will assure efficient communication between the Ministry of Defense and UTM, but will also contribute to the implementation of joint projects, for the benefit of society – that of ensuring the defense and security of the state.
