The UTM teachers of the FUA benefited from trainings in the Twinning project “Support for the promotion of cultural heritage in the Republic of Moldova through its preservation and protection”, funded by the European Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
The training course in the field of “Architectural Conservation” took place between September 2018 – July 2019, with a total of 300 theoretical and practical hours, attended by the teachers of the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Urbanism and Architecture, UTM. The training of professionals was supported by experts and teachers from Italy and local ones. The course included all the stages of carrying out a project of architectural restoration: architectural analysis, documentary and archival investigations, chemical-physical and technical-mechanical characteristics of the materials used, analysis and diagnosis of the degradation and alteration phenomena of the constructed material, mapping the instability / structural deficiencies, methods of intervention, cost estimates and others.
The teachers Diana Andronovici, Ostapov Alina, Ivanov Valeriu and Moraru Ion deepened their skills and competences in the field of architectural restoration, after which they passed the final test – final and executive intervention project.
At the end, Andrei Chistol, State Secretary, MECC RM, Luisa de Marco, resident adviser of the Twinning project, Marta Gnone, architect, MiBAC expert, Garconiţa Rita, head consultant MECC Cultural Heritage Directorate and Garconiţa Serghei, architect, handed them certificates of participation.
