A new visitor at UTM, prof. Dorin DEHELEAN, executive director of the Welding Association of Romania (ASR), member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences, has tied a new (additional) agreement between UTM and ASR, regarding a qualification course of an international / European welding engineer (IWE) level.
These days, the Technical University of Moldova regains its intense, motivating and very exciting atmosphere that usually prevails during the studies. A very special moment: UTM opens its doors to the students of the first year, inviting them to a first meeting with the rector, the teachers and their older student-colleagues – an orientation session for freshmen in the world of study and research in engineering.
The Technical University of Moldova welcomes the new year of studies with a new university textbook – “Industrial Management”. Recently launched at FIEB, it constitutes the joint effort of the scientific-teaching staff from different faculties, but also of the specialists from the real sphere.

The National eTwinning Assistance Office launches a competition for participation as a workshop moderator and eTwinning best practices presenter at the international professional development seminar “Developing skills through Students Involvement in eTwinning Projects” which will be held on October 11-13, 2019, in Bucharest, Romania.
Between October 24-26, 2019, the eTwinning Annual Conference “Democratic participation” will take place in Cannes, France.

Prior to the beginning of the new year of studies, the Faculty of Food Technology hosted today an anniversary celebration, on which the rector, prof. univ., dr. Viorel BOSTAN sent, on behalf of the administration of the Technical University of Moldova, cordial congratulations to the university professor, dr. Jorj CIUMAC.
In the middle of August, on the day of Saint Mary, a group of professors from the Technical University of Moldova participated in the Festival of Song, Dance and Popular Attire, initiated by UTM in the international Symposium “Cucuteni 5000 REDIVIVUS: exact sciences and less exact ones”.
The UTM teachers of the FUA benefited from trainings in the Twinning project “Support for the promotion of cultural heritage in the Republic of Moldova through its preservation and protection”, funded by the European Union, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of the Republic of Moldova.
