The delegation of the Technical University of Moldova, formed by Dinu Țurcanu, vice-rector, Dumitru Ciorbă, dean TUM Faculty of Computer Science, Informatics and Microelectronics, Pavel Nicolaev, head of Telecommunications and Electronic Systems Department at TUM, Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, is making a study visit at Technische Universität Ilmenau, Germany, under the Erasmus+ program.
During the first days of the visit, the TUM delegation had meetings with Dr. Frank MARCH, TU Ilmenau International School director, during which the TUM vice-rector made a detailed presentation of the structure of the Technical University of Moldova and exhibited the main research directions. Several topics on further partnerships and research opportunities with TUM have been addressed. Also, the study paths for the organizing process of academic mobilities within the Bachelor’s and Master’s cycles for TUM students, as well as the expectations for the realization of double diploma programs between TUM and TU Ilmenau, were considered.
For the support granted to the Technical University of Moldova and for the successful partnerships and programs between the institutions, including academic mobility, Mr. Frank March was gifted the silver coin dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the late Mihai Marinciuc’s birthday – lecturer at the Department of Physics, a notorious specialist, promoter and organizer of physics education.
We remind that at the end of 2018, the National Bank of Moldova launched a coin dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the birth of the late Mihai Marinciuc, with a circulation of 200 units.
