Today, the Technical University of Moldova, designated as an eTwinning Plus National Assistance Office to implement the eTwinning program in the Republic of Moldova since 2019, has organized an eTwinning Initiation Seminar.
The participants of the seminar were welcomed by the rector of TUM, professor, dr. hab. Viorel Bostan, vice-rector of TUM for informatization, socio-economic partnerships, image and communication, Dinu Ţurcanu, director of the National Assistance Office of Moldova, Carolina Timco, and the eTwinning Program Manager, Angelica Dimitriu, noting that eTwinning offers teachers who work in pre-university education institutions in the participating European countries a platform for communication, collaboration, project start-up and information exchange, an area where they can feel among the most exciting educational community in Europe .
The eTwinning program is part of Erasmus+, the EU Program for Education, Training, Youth and Sport.
The purpose of the eTwinning program is to facilitate communication and collaboration between pre-university education institutions in the Republic of Moldova and eTwinning communities, involving students in innovative teaching and collaboration activities. The program also promotes collaboration through communication and information technologies (ICT), providing support, services and working tools.
The main objective of eTwinning is to strengthen and develop school networking through a school-twinning scheme, giving them the opportunity to create pedagogical partnerships.
