For the first time, the Technical University of Moldova is positioned among the top 25 universities in the ranking presented by U-Multirank in the “International Joint Publication” category (

This analysis indicates the extent to which university researchers are connected to international research networks. The top universities have at least 75% of publications produced in collaboration with researchers from outside the country. TUM’s entry into the previously mentioned list is the result of the joint efforts of the University and its researchers to ensure the  accessibility of all the studies conducted within TUM and the involvement of the latter ones in international research projects.

It is worth mentioning that TUM is one of the three universities in Moldova, ranked in the U-Multirank ranking, which evaluates over 1700 universities from different geographical areas: Europe, Asia, America and Africa. The U-Multirank methodology is based on a multi-dimensional, user-oriented management. It compares the performance of higher education institutions on 5 levels: (1) teaching and learning, (2) research, (3) knowledge transfer, (4) international orientation, and (5) regional involvement.

U-Multiranking is an independent ranking, supported by the Erasmus + Program, supervised by a counseling council.
