I. GENERAL INFORMATION

1959 – as the Faculty of Engineers-Technicians has its beginning in the State University of Chisinau.

1964 – Polytechnic Institute was founded with five faculties, including the Faculty of Engineers-Builders, now called Faculty of Cadastre, Geodesy and Constructions.

Up to now, we have prepared over 10 000 civil engineers, geodesists, appraisers engineers, economists, engineers in the field of vitality security working in various sectors of national economy and abroad.

IV. TEACHING STAFF

At the Faculty departments activate 80 tenured university teachers, of whom 29 people with scientific degree and title (36.25 % Ph.Ds and Habilitate Doctors) and 21 non-tenured university teachers  of whom 9 with scientific degree and title (42.86 %).

VI. SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

At the Faculty departments there are carried out scientific researches in the following areas:

  • Expertise, design and protection of constructions in normal and extreme conditions (earthquakes, subsidence, landslides, etc.);
  • Real Estate Assessment;
  • Investigation of landslides and methods of their combating;
  • Elaboration of the rules in the field of foundations;
  • Elaboration of modern technologies in construction;
  • Study of map projections for large scale mapping of Republic of Moldova territory;
  • Development of calculation and interpolation methods of coordinate transformation parameters;
  • Development of GNSS stations network monitoring system on the territory of Republic of Moldova;
  • Creation of high accuracy quasigeoid model for territory of Republic of Moldova;
  • Study of adjustment methods of tridimensional geodetic networks;
  • Development of methods of determination of vertical;
  • Study of land and buildings deformation analyses methods using high accuracy geodetic measurements;
  • Studies of data collection, integration and managing methods using advanced GIS technologies.

 

VII. MATERIAL AND TECHNICAL BASE

  • Laboratory of geological materials analysis;
  • Laboratory of testing the soils for foundations;
  • Real estate evaluation laboratory endowed with equipment of last performance.
